TERA is committed to preventing money laundering, terrorist financing, and other illicit activities. This Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Policy outlines how we monitor, identify, and act on suspicious behaviour within our service.

1. Purpose

The purpose of this Policy is to describe the principles and procedures TERA follows to comply with applicable anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing (CFT), and sanctions laws. We design our systems to detect unusual activity, protect honest users, and cooperate with competent authorities where required by law.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to all users of TERA and all services provided through it, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, and swaps. It also applies to TERA staff, contractors, and any third parties acting on behalf of TERA.

3. Know Your Customer (KYC)

TERA may require users to verify their identity before accessing certain features. Verification typically includes providing a valid government-issued identity document and, where needed, confirming residence or source of funds. TERA reserves the right to request additional information at any time if we identify potential risk.

Users must provide accurate and up-to-date information. Submitting forged, stolen, or misleading documents is strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension and reporting to the relevant authorities.

4. Prohibited Activities

Users must not use TERA in connection with any of the following:

5. Transaction Monitoring

TERA applies ongoing, risk-based monitoring to user activity. Our systems evaluate factors such as volume, frequency, counterparties, and geographic risk. If activity is deemed unusual, TERA may request additional information, pause transactions, or suspend the account pending review.

6. Reporting

TERA cooperates with law enforcement and regulators where required by applicable law. This may include reporting suspicious transactions, freezing assets pursuant to lawful orders, and disclosing user information to competent authorities. Users are not notified of such disclosures where the law prohibits notification.

7. Sanctions

TERA screens users and transactions against recognised sanctions lists, including those maintained by the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Users appearing on such lists, or ordinarily resident in sanctioned jurisdictions, are not permitted to use TERA.

8. Record Keeping

TERA retains KYC documents, transaction records, and related data for the period required by applicable law, generally not less than five (5) years from the end of the business relationship or the date of the transaction, whichever is later.

9. User Responsibilities

By using TERA, you confirm that the funds you use are legally obtained, that you are not acting on behalf of a sanctioned party, and that you will promptly respond to any AML-related requests from us.

10. Contact

For AML-related questions, please contact us through the in-app Support chat. We aim to respond within a reasonable time during business hours.
